The Town of Arnold’s Cove is supporting the direction from both the Federal and Provincial Governments as well as the health authorities and agencies in taking measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Town’s primary focus is the health and well being of our residents and the protection of our staff by interrupting the chain of transmission of COVID-19 in the community.
Effective 12:00 noon on Wednesday March 18, 2020, the Town Hall, Fire Hall and Town Office will be closed to the public. Staff will still be working but there will be no physical access to the office by the public. If you need to get in contact with the Town Office, staff will be answering the telephone and responding to emails during regular office hours. The Town’s maintenance staff will still be providing essential services to the public, such as chlorine checks, water and sewer maintenance and snow clearing. We ask the public to contact our maintenance staff by telephone through the Town Office and in the event that you do come in contact with them in public, please exercise social distancing practices by keeping at least 2 metres away from them.
The Town asks organizations to consider the advice of the Federal and Provincial Governments regarding social gatherings. We also ask the public to practice social distancing, avoid large events and crowded spaces, and to practice good hygiene such as frequent hand washing.
As a community, let’s work together to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Please follow the advice of our health authorities and keep up to date on the latest developments.
