When using the Town's recreational facilities, please contact the Town if you notice anything requiring maintenance or encounter safety hazards. The Town wants to ensure a safe, healthy environment at all recreational sites.

50+ Club
​

Arnold's Cove Day
​
The Recreation Committee hosts the annual Arnold's Cove Day on the first Saturday in August. There are fun children and family activities at the ballfield throughout the day and a fireworks display in the evening.

Ballfield
Located at 64 Spencer’s Cove Road, the enclosed ball field is open from spring to fall for recreation uses such as baseball, softball, soccer and recreation programs.

Card Games
Card games take place every Monday night at the Rec Centre, 64 Spencer’s Cove Road from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. All ages are welcome and the cost is $3.00 per person. For more information please contact Chrissy Dunphy at (709) 463-8071.

Dog Park
Located behind the playground at 50A Spencer’s Cove Road, this enclosed area is reserved for dog owners to allow their canines to run and play off-leash. The Town asks that you respect the rules of the dog park which are posted at the entrance.
Playground
The playground is located at 50A Spencer’s Cove Road and is open to children from the spring to the fall. The playground equipment is designed for all ages to explore and play.

Rec Centre
Located at 64 Spencer’s Cove Road, the Rec Centre is open year-round for recreational use. The building includes folding tables, chairs, wi-fi internet, kitchen and washrooms and can be used for a variety of events such as birthday parties, meetings, training and gatherings. Sliding Hill
The sliding hill is located at 50A Spencer’s Cove Road adjacent the playground. It is open to residents in the winter when sufficient snow has accumulated to allow sliding.
Summer Program
Every summer the Town provides recreational programs for children in the community for a minimum of six weeks. The program includes indoor activities, outdoor activities, sports, craft making, learning events and field trips.
