With the evolving situation of COVID-19, the Town is asking everyone to stay up to date on the latest information being provided by the federal Public Health Agency of Canada and the provincial Department of Health and Community Services. The links to their websites are as follows:

Effective 12:00 noon on Tuesday March 17, 2020, the Community Centre at 38 Spencer’s Cove Road, the Community Gym at 38 Spencer’s Cove Road, the Recreation Building at 64 Spencer’s Cove Road, the Warm-Up Building at 64 Spencer’s Cove Road and all the outdoor facilities at the Recreation Grounds (ball field, outdoor rink, playground and dog park) at 64 Spencer’s Cove Road will be closed until further notice.

The Town Office is open but we are asking residents to visit the Town Hall only if necessary as we follow the advice of our health authorities to help slow down the spread of COVID-19. The federal Public Health Agency of Canada are asking residents to:

 

– practice social distancing;
– avoid large events and crowded spaces; and
– practice good hygiene such as frequent handwashing.

 

The Town is also asking organizations in the community to consider the advice from our federal and provincial health agencies regarding social gatherings.
